Miley Cyrus steps out in London in an eye-catching pair of sunglasses.  We found her on the celeb outfit identifier rocking these cool Mercury shades by New York-based Nooka. Though the corners are cut off of these frames, Nooka didn’t cut corners in creating them. They’re futuristic, trendy and designed to stand out in so many ways:

Kate Beckinsale steps out in L.A. in these stylish sunglasses by Christian Dior.  From what we can tell on the celeb outfit identifier, these are Dior 61 sunglasses. These shades have a unique shape with fork temples, and as Ms. Beckinsale proves so fashionably, they go well with anything from shorts to designer bags.  Shiny metal accents are stamped with the familiar Dior motif.  These sunglasses offer 100% UV protection, and will encourage loads of compliments.

It’s no secret, I love aviator sunglasses! I love the various shapes and sizes. I love the color range available. I love the infinite lens possibilities ranging from plain old cr-39  to high end polarized glass options. They look great with a gradient tint and they look great with a flash mirror coating. Italian charms are the latest and most popular trend in the jewelry industry. The trend began in the mid 1980s in Italy. The craze spread so fast that soccer players have been known to wear bracelets that reflected their country’s colors. The trend spread to the United States after American tourists became enamored with the style.

An Italian charm starter bracelet consists of 18 blank individual rectangular links. Standardized sizing allows for each piece to be interchangeable with any Italian charm. Unlike traditional charm bracelets that dangle off a chain, the Italian charm bracelet allows for a complete look that can be changed depending on the wearer’s mood and/or changing interests.

Charms can represent anything that the wearer chooses. However, the most common charms are representations of an individual’s hobbies, interests and profession. The links are interchangeable so that each bracelet can be as unique as each individual.

A traditional link of an Italian charm bracelet consists of a rectangular piece of stainless steel on which the design is soldered or etched onto the surface. Recently, Italian charm makers have begun making full color charms using an enamel process. This process is very expensive though so it is reserved for charms that will sell in large quantities. One method that has been found to produce charms less expensively involves laser technology. Lasers are used to permanently etch a design onto the surface of stainless steel. These charms are less expensive than the enamel charms. Laser technology also allows for the customization of charms. A fully customized and individualized laser charm can be bought between to a piece.

Further customization can also be done for a slightly higher cost. This customization allows for a photograph to be used to produce a charm through two methods. In the first method, a photograph is mounted to the stainless steel and a seal is placed over the photograph to preserve it. The second method involves transferring the image to the surface of the link through a process known as dye-sublimation.

The popularity of Italian charm bracelets has expanded the use of the modular links to other various items. Now, links can be seen on various types of jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, keychains and anklets.
